Hello everyone. I wanted to take a second and thank everyone for all the messages of support and love I have received over the last year. In July of this year I had a new tumor come up on my right jaw bone. My oncologist told me it was my Ewing's returning, and unfortunately they think the cancer is Chemo-resistant. Meaning the chemo we have use already aren't working anymore. With the help of Dr. Buck (my radiation Dr.) I decided to do radiation. In August the doctor repeated my scan and found other tumors beginning to form. Around the first of October I began radiation on my head (they found a tumor on my skull and it was pushing down towards my brain) and on my left arm between my wrist and elbow. I only have 6 more rounds of radiation left....yeah!!!!! Everyone continue to keep in touch. My dad is setting up a newsletter type thing to email everyone and tell them how I am doing about twice a month. Everyone please leave me their email address so I can stay in touch easier.

Hi Skylar! I hope this e-mail finds you doing better and in good spirits. I just heard about you today, your dad works in the same department as one of my nieces. I just wanted to send some good cheer your way and say hello. My daughter had Wilm's Tumor at the age of 3 (2004)Dr. Joan Fisher and Nurse Melissa took great care of her and all of our family. Thankfully, all that is behind us and I hope that one day, you will be able say the same. Tell your parents to be strong and optimistic, some days, that's all you have so hold on to it. I am glad you and your family got to take a trip to San Diego through the MAW Foundation. We got to go to Orlando, FL to Disney, Universal and Sea World and yes it was much needed after all we had been throught and the best vacation we probably will ever have! I know will continue to fight, fight, fight - Kick that Cancer in the Butt! :)
